A faculty member at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, Dr. Wameed Shamel Kamil, participated in the preparation and development of futsal training curricula at the Asian level, as part of a specialized program supervised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
This participation comes within the framework of benefiting from his academic and practical expertise as an AFC-certified Asian instructor, where he contributed to designing and updating modern training curricula aimed at advancing the technical and coaching standards of futsal in line with the approved development requirements across the Asian continent.
The program activities included discussions on the scientific foundations for building training curricula, unifying technical concepts, and adopting the latest modern training methods, contributing to the preparation of coaches and players capable of competing effectively at continental levels.
This participation reflects the academic and scientific standing of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and its continuous commitment to supporting its staff members’ active involvement in scientific and sports activities at both regional and international levels.
This achievement aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
