The University of Baghdad offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate studies, as well as fully funded scholarships (covering tuition fees and accommodation) for international students from around the world. The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad is the oldest and most prestigious in Iraq, established in 1938 at the Higher Teachers’ House, initially accepting 7 students in the first year and 6 in the second year. The college has played a significant role in graduating hundreds of academics, coaches, and experts in the field of sports education. Today, the college offers opportunities for foreign students to complete their studies, providing 3 seats for postgraduate students, including 2 for Ph.D. students and 1 for a master’s student, as well as 3 seats for undergraduate studies. The bachelor’s degree is awarded after completing a four-year program. The college follows a semester system, with first semester exams in January and second semester exams in June. A minimum pass mark of 50% and 90% attendance are required to take the final exams.
