Dr. Intisar Rasheed Hamid, a faculty member at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, participated in a workshop on training athletics coaches for children, held in Muscat, Oman. The event was organized by the Arab Athletics Federation in collaboration with the Center for Child Athletics Development.
The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of coaches in training young athletes, focusing on international best practices and addressing the physical, psychological, and educational needs of children. Activities included theoretical lectures and practical sessions covering coaching fundamentals, program design, talent identification, and use of appropriate teaching tools.
This participation offered an important opportunity to exchange expertise with specialists across the Arab world and stay updated on the latest developments in youth athletics coaching. It reflects the college’s commitment to supporting faculty development and strengthening its presence in regional and international forums.
