The Theoretical Sciences Department at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific debate for first-year students, in the presence of a number of faculty members and a group of students.
The activity aimed to develop students’ critical thinking skills, promote a culture of constructive dialogue, and enhance their abilities to present ideas and discuss them in a sound academic manner.
The debate covered subjects including Football, Basketball, and Anatomy. Students were divided into two teams, and scientific questions were answered within a time limit set by the committee, amid strong interaction from the audience. The judging panel praised the students’ distinguished performance, emphasizing the importance of such activities in shaping students’ academic personalities.
At the conclusion of the event, the participating teams were honored in recognition of their efforts and active participation, with an emphasis on continuing to organize similar scientific activities in the future.
