The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Baghdad concluded the two-day Erasmus Conference with distinguished local and international participation. The event brought together representatives of Iraqi universities, program trainers, international experts, and featured the active presence of University of Baghdad President, Prof. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf.
The closing session highlighted the outcomes of the specialized training workshops, where participants were divided into four groups to explore mechanisms for developing academic twinning programs, expanding fields of international cooperation, and activating joint diploma programs within the Erasmus+ framework.
In his speech, the University President emphasized the importance of the program in supporting the progress of Iraqi universities, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations in fostering academic openness and facilitating the exchange of scientific expertise, thereby contributing to the advancement of higher education quality.
The conference reflects University of Baghdad’s strategic commitment to strengthening its international presence, expanding global partnerships, and consolidating its role in higher education and research according to standards of quality and academic accreditation.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Quality Education, Partnerships for the Goals, and Decent Work and Economic Growth.
