Postgraduate students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Baghdad conducted a scientific visit to the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al‑Khwarizmi College of Engineering as part of the academic curriculum for the course Kinematic Analysis.
The visit aimed to introduce master’s students to the modern 3D Motion Capture system, one of the most advanced technologies used in motion analysis. During the visit, students received a practical demonstration on how the system operates and how it is applied in engineering protocols and sports performance analysis. The system represents an important tool for analyzing athletes’ movements and improving performance through precise biomechanical measurements.
The activity was attended by all master’s students enrolled in the course, accompanied by Prof. Huda Hamid and Prof. Intisar Rashid, along with Prof. Yasser Najah, the head of the Biomechanics Laboratory at the college.
The head of the Biomedical Engineering Department expressed appreciation for the ongoing academic cooperation between the two colleges and emphasized the importance of continuing joint research activities that support scientific development and serve the wider community.
Aligned Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
