The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Baghdad continues its distinguished presence in international sports events through the participation of several of its faculty members in the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers held in Lebanon during the second window from 27 February to 2 March.
The participating technical staff from the college included Asst. Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Saeed as a fitness coach, Dr. Harith Mubasher as assistant coach, and Assistant Lecturer Yasser Ahmed Al-Ani as a match analyst and statistician.
This participation reflects the scientific and professional role played by the college in supporting national teams with academic and training expertise. It also contributes to the development of Iraqi basketball and strengthens its presence in international competitions.
The college administration expressed its best wishes for continued success for the participating faculty members and hoped for outstanding results that reflect positively on Iraqi sports.
