The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Baghdad organized a tree-planting campaign across its campus gardens and walkways in celebration of National Afforestation Day. The event was attended by the Dean, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, along with faculty members, staff, and students.
The campaign aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage the preservation of green spaces within the university campus. It also sought to improve the campus environment and create a more attractive and sustainable setting that reflects cooperation among members of the college community.
During the initiative, participants planted a number of trees and seedlings in various locations around the college. They expressed their enthusiasm for taking part in this activity, which contributes to environmental protection and supports national efforts to expand green areas.
The college administration emphasized that this campaign is part of a broader series of environmental and awareness activities carried out in collaboration with students, highlighting the importance of volunteer work in serving the community and promoting sustainability.
