The Asian Fitness Coaching Course (L1B level) concluded at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, University of Baghdad, in the presence of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, President of the Iraqi Football Association, Captain Adnan Darjal, and Chairman of the Technical and Development Committee, Dr. Wissam Najeeb Slywah.
At the closing ceremony, Captain Adnan Darjal delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the Iraqi Football Association is striving to enhance the training process through a scientific and organized approach. He noted that the cornerstone of developing the game lies in improving the competencies of coaches across all specialties, as they are a key pillar in advancing team performance and enriching players’ tactical awareness.
He also highlighted upcoming plans to organize numerous coaching workshops by inviting high-level international lecturers to further develop Iraqi coaches in various fields. On this occasion, he extended his deep gratitude to the college administration, represented by Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim, for their continued collaboration in hosting AFC courses and ensuring their success.
In his remarks, the Dean expressed great pleasure in hosting the AFC coaching programs, considering them crucial for enhancing the capabilities of local coaches. He congratulated the Football Association on its consistent accomplishments and affirmed that the college’s facilities will always remain open to support Iraqi sports and elevate Iraq’s name in international arenas.
