As part of the activities of the Postgraduate Studies Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, a field scientific visit was organized for master’s students to the college library under the supervision of Lecturer Noor Abdul Sahib Ali.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with academic theses and dissertations available in the library, identify their main components, and analyze their different sections in English. It also included practical training on how to write, document, and translate references from Arabic into English and vice versa, as an essential step in developing solid academic research skills.
In addition, the visit involved practical activities designed to strengthen the use of English as a key tool in academic research writing. Discussions were also held among students regarding research procedures and methodologies, helping them reinforce theoretical knowledge through direct academic practice within the library environment.
This activity reflects the efforts of the Postgraduate Studies Unit to support the practical aspects of postgraduate education and to prepare students to produce well-structured academic research based on sound methodological foundations and recognized academic standards.
