The importance of the research lies in its focus on psychological aspects and certain psychological variables in athletes, specifically performance anxiety, to understand and address its role in affecting the performance of boxers aged 18 and above in Iraq. The study aimed to assess the level of performance anxiety and the effectiveness of the physical guidance program for boxers in Iraq, with the goal of channeling their energies towards benefiting the sports community and addressing psychological disorders such as performance anxiety, while training athletes in fundamental psychological skills to achieve higher performance levels.

The current research aimed to develop a (psychological-physical) program to reduce performance anxiety in certain offensive skills among boxers aged 18 and above in Iraq, create a performance anxiety measurement scale for these athletes, and evaluate the impact of the psychological-physical program on reducing performance anxiety.

The researcher recommended several points, including: applying the developed scale to other individual sports beyond boxing, focusing on the psychological aspects in all individual and team sports as a crucial factor for athletic development, and creating specific exercises to develop other psychological and physical capacities and working on studying and improving additional skills.
