Within the framework of enhancing scientific integration between academic disciplines, Master’s students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad carried out a scientific visit to the College of Medicine as part of the activities of the Training Physiology course. The visit aimed to expand their research knowledge and familiarize them with medical aspects related to sports sciences.
The visit included an introduction to several specialized medical laboratories and an overview of the equipment used in physiological and diagnostic examinations, under the supervision of Prof. Mohammed Jawad Kazem, with particular focus on areas related to physical exertion research, sports injuries, and the vital functions of body systems.
In addition, a number of faculty members from the College of Medicine provided scientific explanations on how the medical devices operate and their importance in supporting postgraduate studies and joint research. Discussions also addressed ways to employ this knowledge in Master’s theses and applied research in the field of physical education and sports sciences.
At the conclusion of the visit, Master’s students emphasized the importance of such scientific activities in enhancing their research skills and linking theoretical knowledge with practical application. They expressed their appreciation for the cooperation and warm reception of the College of Medicine, stressing the need to continue similar scientific visits between university colleges.
