A faculty member from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Wissam Najeeb Asliyoh, participated in the closing activities of the fifth and final part of the FIFA Coach Educators Diploma, which was held in the United Arab Emirates.
The diploma aims to develop modern coaching and educational skills and enhance participants’ competencies in coach education through scientific and applied components. The program included final theoretical and practical assessments, assigned tasks for participants in their role as lecturers, as well as practical performance and the management of training units in different roles as lecturers and coaches.
This participation comes within the framework of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences’ commitment to supporting its academic staff and encouraging their engagement in professional development programs that contribute to strengthening the educational process and raising the level of academic and professional performance. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
