As part of its commitment to promoting environmental awareness and contributing to the improvement of the university environment, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized a tree planting campaign within the college premises and gardens. The campaign was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, along with a number of faculty members, staff, and students.
The campaign aims to expand green spaces, enhance the aesthetic appearance of the College, and spread a culture of environmental care and preservation. During the campaign, a number of trees and plants suitable for the local environment were planted.
The Dean of the College affirmed that this initiative is part of a series of environmental activities through which the College seeks to promote the principles of sustainable development, praising the spirit of cooperation and active participation demonstrated by all contributors.
It is worth noting that the College continues to organize such campaigns, reflecting its commitment to environmental and social responsibility, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 13 Climate Action, 15 Life on Land, and 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities.
