On Sunday, 25 January 2026, a five-a-side football match was held between Master’s and PhD students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, on the college’s field, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students.
The match was organized as part of the sports activities conducted by the college with the aim of promoting sportsmanship, strengthening cooperation and communication among postgraduate students, and encouraging them to engage in physical activity.
The match witnessed an enthusiastic and competitive atmosphere characterized by technical performance and a strong sense of camaraderie, and it concluded with a victory for the Master’s students. At the end of the event, participants expressed their appreciation to the college deanship and the organizing committee, emphasizing the importance of continuing such activities due to their positive impact on supporting the sporting and social environment within the college. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
