The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, honored a number of faculty members on the occasion of obtaining Asian football coaching certificates (B and C levels). The honorees were Haider Talib Jasim, Ahmed Hashim Hamoud, Assistant Lecturer Sabrin Hamed Shehab, and Assistant Lecturer Qaisar Fares Abdulhamid, following their successful completion of the AFC-accredited coaching courses.
The honoring ceremony took place at the Dean’s Office in the presence of the Head of the Technical Committee of the Iraqi Football Association, Prof. Wissam Najeeb Asliyoh, where the Dean praised the faculty members’ efforts and their commitment to developing their scientific and practical competencies, emphasizing that this achievement represents a qualitative addition that enhances the academic and sporting standing of the College.
The honored faculty members expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the College Deanship for this recognition, affirming their continuous commitment to applying the knowledge and expertise they have gained in serving students and supporting sports activities within the College.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean presented letters of appreciation to the faculty members, wishing them continued success in their academic and professional careers. This initiative contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
