Under the patronage of Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Baghdad, and the supervision of Prof. Mayada Zuhair, a specialized workshop titled “Sports Training Technology Trends” was organized, with the participation of Assistant Lecturer Noor Abdul Sahib Ali.
The two-day workshop featured doctoral students who delivered a series of specialized scientific lectures on the latest smart technologies used in sports training.
The lectures covered several key topics, including wearable devices for measuring and assessing performance capacities in various sports, as well as smart technologies that help diagnose potential injuries and assist in sports rehabilitation and recovery processes.
The event was attended by the Dean, members of the College Council, and a distinguished group of faculty members and postgraduate students, who expressed their appreciation for the high scientific level of the presentations and the innovative applications that enhance the quality of research and practical training in the field of sports sciences.
This workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
