College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Baghdad is the mother college, and the oldest among the colleges of physical education in Iraq.It is a giant sports edifice that produced hundreds of academics, coaches, and experts in the field of physical education. Its history dates back to the year 8391, when for the first time a special section for physical education was opened in the Higher Teachers’ House during the academic year 1938-1939.Seven students were accepted in the first year and 6 students in the second year.
