Sustainable Development Policies

The University of Baghdad keeps pace with international developments in the field of environment and sustainability, and responds to changing standards and international requirements by adopting a flexible policy and modifying it accordingly. Recognizing its responsibility for the environmental impacts resulting from its activities and its desire to provide a better environment for future generations, the university has set specific goals to regulate measures to preserve the environment, mitigate the impacts of its activities, and make the university environment environmentally friendly in line with achieving specific standards. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 global objectives adopted by the United Nations in 2015, aimed at addressing the world’s complex challenges and achieving comprehensive and sustainable development. These goals include eradicating poverty, promoting equality, mitigating the impacts of climate change, preserving the environment, and enhancing social justice and economic development.
