University of Baghdad achieved a remarkable sporting accomplishment by securing first place in the Iraqi Universities Women’s Volleyball Championship, hosted by Northern Technical University in Mosul, with broad participation from Iraqi universities.
The University of Baghdad team claimed the title after an outstanding campaign marked by strong performance and excellent teamwork, defeating the host university in the final match with a score of 3–2.
The championship reflected the growing development of university sports in Iraq and showcased a high level of competition. Dr. Ali Sadiq Dhiab, Director of the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad, stated that this achievement was the result of continuous training and teamwork, supported by the university presidency and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
University players also earned individual awards, highlighting their exceptional performance.
