Faculty members from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Baghdad, Assistant Professors Wissam Najeeb Saliwah and Wameed Shamil Kamil, participated in the 2026 Coaches Development Workshop, which focused on analyzing the AFC Futsal Asian Cup competitions as part of efforts to enhance both scientific and practical capacities in the field of sports.
The workshop addressed the latest scientific approaches to analyzing the technical and tactical performance of participating teams, in addition to discussing modern trends in futsal coaching and training methodologies.
Participants emphasized that the workshop represents an important opportunity for exchanging expertise and exploring advanced techniques in sports analysis, contributing to the development of both educational and training processes within the college.
This participation reflects the College’s commitment to supporting its academic staff and keeping pace with contemporary developments in the sports field, ultimately enhancing student performance and academic activities.
