A faculty member at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, Dr. Samer Saad Ibrahim, participated in the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) program, which included professional training and practical engagement with the Spanish club Sevilla FC for the under-19 youth teams.
The program aimed to familiarize participants with the latest training methods and long-term planning strategies for developing young athletes through both theoretical and practical lectures. It also provided insight into Sevilla FC’s methodology in preparing age-group teams and developing football talents in accordance with modern European standards.
This participation comes within the college’s efforts to develop its academic staff and enrich them with international expertise, positively reflecting on the educational and training process and contributing to improving the academic and practical performance of students in the sports field, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
