The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized a sports festival for people with special needs on Tuesday (16/12/2025), with the participation of students and faculty members, in an atmosphere filled with joy and positive interaction.
The festival included a variety of sports activities designed to suit the abilities and needs of the participants, aiming to promote cooperation, enhance self-confidence, and encourage engagement in physical activity.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, emphasized that organizing this festival reflects the College’s commitment to supporting people with special needs, promoting their social inclusion, and highlighting their abilities and potential.
The event concluded with the distribution of gifts and certificates of participation, amid praise for the organization and the humanitarian value of such initiatives, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals 3 Good Health and Well-Being, 4 Quality Education, and 10 Reduced Inequalities.
