The Team Sports Department at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized the final match of the Handball Championship for Academic Levels, held between the Second-Year and Fourth-Year teams. The event was attended by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mohammed Abdulhussein Attia, along with heads of academic departments.
The match witnessed a high level of competition, with both teams displaying impressive performance. The Fourth-Year team emerged victorious with a score of 25–16, demonstrating excellent performance across both halves.
The College Administration emphasized that such championships aim to support student activities and encourage athletic talents, praising the high level of participation and sportsmanship displayed this year.
The event concluded with the awarding of the championship trophy, certificates of appreciation, and prizes to participants, in a celebratory atmosphere that highlighted the success of the Handball Championship in fostering teamwork, cooperation, and student engagement, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals for Good Health and Well-Being, Quality Education, and Reduced Inequalities.
