A faculty member of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, and a member of the Iraqi Fencing Federation, Prof. Abdulhadi Hameed Mahdi Al-Tamimi, participated in the meetings of the International Fencing Federation (FIE), held in the capital city of Manama, Bahrain, with the attendance of representatives from 139 countries across different continents.
This participation comes within the framework of the Iraqi Federation’s commitment to strengthening its international presence and expanding cooperation with continental and global federations, as well as discussing development-related agendas that contribute to advancing Iraqi fencing at both administrative and technical levels.
The meetings included discussions on several organizational and technical issues related to the future of the sport, reflecting the active role of the Iraqi delegation within the international fencing community.
This participation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education, good health and well-being, and strengthening international partnerships.
