Under the patronage and in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad concluded the Inter-Stage Squash Championship, which witnessed wide participation from students of the college. The championship was held as part of the college’s plan to enhance sports activities, encourage students to engage in physical exercise, and discover talented athletes.
The tournament featured strong competition among students from different academic stages, with qualifying matches leading to the final rounds. The championship was organized and supervised by the Individual Games Branch, and the results concluded with student Mohammed Abdulkhaliq (fourth stage) securing first place, while student Hussein Ali (second stage) achieved second place.
The Head of the Individual Games Branch, Prof. Mohammed Hassan Hillel, praised the students’ enthusiasm and performance level, affirming the college’s ongoing commitment to supporting sports events that develop students’ skills and promote positive competitive spirit.
The event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being, quality education, and youth empowerment through sports.
