In the presence of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, the Postgraduate Studies Division organized a scientific seminar in English titled “Sports Sponsorship Companies”, as part of the academic seminar program dedicated to postgraduate students.
The seminar aimed to highlight the concept of sports marketing and the role of sports sponsorship companies in supporting clubs and sporting events, in addition to discussing key modern marketing strategies used in the field.
The discussion focused on major international models of sports sponsorship and the ways in which these companies utilize media and advertising technologies to enhance their brand image and increase audience engagement. Students also participated in rich discussions regarding the impact of sponsorship on the development of the sports sector both locally and internationally.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the organizers emphasized the importance of such topics in linking academic knowledge with practical applications and in strengthening students’ skills in using English within their specialized fields.
