The University of Baghdad achieved another outstanding sporting accomplishment by securing first place both individually and as a team for the second and final consecutive day of the Iraqi Universities Swimming Championship, hosted by Gilgamesh University, with wide participation from universities across Iraq.
This year’s competitions were supervised by faculty members from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Yassar Subeih Ali and Dr. Waleed Qusay Abdul-Latif, who oversaw the training of the university team.
Dr. Ali Sadiq Thiyab, Director of the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad, emphasized that this achievement was the result of intensive preparation, dedicated efforts from all team members, and the exceptional performance demonstrated by the students in both individual and team events.
