As part of the awareness programs adopted by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, the English Scientific Group organized an awareness exhibition titled “Say No to Drugs” on Monday (17/11/2025). The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, the scientific and administrative assistant deans, the Head of the Theoretical Sciences Branch, the College Council Secretary, the Head of the Educational Guidance Division at the University of Baghdad, the Head of the Educational Guidance Unit in the college, in addition to a number of faculty members and students.
The exhibition featured awareness posters, art displays, and student activities highlighting the health, psychological, and social impacts of drug abuse. It also provided explanations about the dangers of drug spread and the importance of prevention through strengthening awareness among young people.
The organizers explained that this exhibition aligns with the activities of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week and aims to contribute to promoting community awareness within the university environment, emphasizing that the role of the university goes beyond academics to include building a conscious generation capable of facing behavioral challenges.
The exhibition received wide interaction from attendees, who praised the students’ efforts and creativity in preparing the awareness materials, stressing the importance of continuing such initiatives to enhance a culture of responsibility and prevention on campus.
This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education).
