A group of faculty members from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad participated in the First International Conference on Para Sports, hosted by Al-Mustaqbal University with the presence of leading researchers, specialists, and advocates for disability empowerment.
The college was represented in the Scientific Committee by Prof. Abdulhadi Hameed Mahdi and Prof. Ahmed Farhan Ali, while Prof. Hameed Abdulnabi Abdul-Kadhim participated as a member of the Preparatory Committee. In addition, Dr. Fahem Abdulwahid took part in the conference activities and discussions.
The conference addressed key challenges faced by persons with disabilities and presented programs and solutions aimed at promoting inclusion and empowerment. It also included scientific sessions in which the participating faculty members contributed valuable insights that enriched the academic dialogue.
Conference organizers praised the delegation from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, affirming that their participation added significant value to the event and reflected the college’s commitment to supporting impactful humanitarian and societal issues.
