Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Naim Al-Aboudi, the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Baghdad hosted the central graduation ceremony for the University’s 68th class (Class of Excellence and Creativity) on Saturday, November 1, 2025. The event was filled with pride, joy, and a spirit of achievement.
The ceremony began with the playing of the Iraqi national anthem and a recitation of Al-Fatiha in honor of Iraq’s martyrs, followed by a military parade of flag bearers and the university band. Graduates then marched proudly in a procession led by the top students, followed by representatives of the University’s colleges, faculty members, and administration.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf, delivered speeches expressing their pride in the graduates’ accomplishments and emphasizing that this milestone marks the beginning of a new journey of service and contribution to the nation.
The event concluded with the graduates reciting the university oath and the honoring of top-performing students. The ceremony radiated joy as graduates and their families celebrated this remarkable academic achievement.
Prof. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf also commended the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences for its distinguished efforts in organizing and hosting the central ceremony, highlighting the college’s dedication to excellence and its commitment to upholding the legacy and prestige of the University of Baghdad.
This event supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
