The importance of the research lies in presenting a scientific analysis of mental positioning in the context of hosting football tournaments in Iraq from the perspective of Arab media. This contributes to understanding public and sponsor perceptions and enables an accurate and objective assessment of the image of Iraqi football.
The researcher aimed to design two scales: one for smart leadership and another for mental positioning in the organization of international football tournaments in Iraq from the standpoint of Arab media. The study also sought to identify the level of smart leadership and mental positioning, as well as the extent to which smart leadership contributes to strengthening Iraq’s mental image in this field.
The study concluded that media influence strategies, quality of organization, and social interaction are among the most significant dimensions that enhanced Iraq’s mental positioning from the perspective of Arab media. The findings further highlighted the central role of media in improving the perception of the host nation. However, the researcher also found a non-significant relationship between the effectiveness of smart leadership and mental positioning in organizing international football matches inside Iraq.
This research aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Quality Education and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
