Assistant lecturer Laith Farhan Faraj, lecturer at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Baghdad, took part in the external training camp for Iraq Stars League referees held in Tunisia, organized by the Referees Committee of the Iraqi Football Association.
The camp gathered an elite group of referees entrusted with officiating matches in the Iraq Stars League. It included theoretical lectures and practical sessions conducted under the supervision of instructors accredited by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
This participation represents a significant step in enhancing refereeing competence, as the camp featured in-depth discussions on the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game, modern refereeing techniques, and the application of VAR technology in football officiating.
