Prof. Louay Sami Rifaat, faculty member and Secretary of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Baghdad, participated in the defense of a PhD dissertation by Saja Sattar Qaddouri, titled:
“The Effect of Anaerobic Threshold Training Accompanied by the Nutritional Supplement (BCAA) on Some Functional Indicators, Bio-motor Abilities, and Compound Offensive Skills in Basketball for Youth.”
The defense took place on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Diyala.
On the sidelines of the event, Al-Iraqiya TV/ Diyala Office conducted an interview with Prof. Rifaat, in which he discussed the scientific and practical dimensions of the research and its impact on the development of basketball. He highlighted the importance of such studies in serving the sports field and enhancing the performance of young athletes.
This academic collaboration reflects the Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education, Good Health and Well-being, and Partnerships for the Goals.
