A faculty member from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Asst. Lecturer Yasser Ahmed Mohammed, represented Iraq in the “Basketball Match Commissioner” workshop organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). The event was held over two days in Shenzhen, China, alongside the Women’s Asia Cup, with the participation of several international federation representatives.
The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of match commissioners and strengthen organizational and administrative capabilities in line with the latest international standards. It included intensive lectures and practical sessions on managing international matches, handling various in-arena scenarios, and coordinating teams and working committees.
This participation supports sustainable development through quality education, professional development, global partnerships, and the promotion of inclusive and well-managed sports institutions.
