Assistant Lecturer Laith Farhan Faraj from the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, University of Baghdad, participated in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Elite Referees Academy Course held in Malaysia.
The course, organized by the AFC, aims to develop referees’ competencies and prepare them to reach elite status at the continental level. It featured theoretical lectures and practical applications focusing on technical, physical, and tactical aspects of refereeing, with the participation of 40 referees from across Asia.
This participation reflects the commitment of the Iraq Football Association to enhancing refereeing expertise and elevating the standard of Iraqi officiating at both the Arab and Asian levels.
This initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education, Good Health and Well-being, and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
