On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad welcomed an academic delegation from Sharif University of Technology in Iran, accompanied by the University’s Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Suhail Najm Abdullah. The visit aimed to strengthen frameworks of scientific cooperation and promote the exchange of expertise between the two institutions.
The delegation was received by the Dean of the College, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, along with several faculty members. A comprehensive meeting was held to explore ways of developing academic programs, activating research partnerships, and discussing the possibility of organizing joint scientific events such as conferences and workshops.
The delegation also toured various college facilities, including classrooms, sports halls, the swimming pool, the main discussion hall, and the rest area. They expressed admiration for the infrastructure and the ongoing academic and administrative advancements at the college.
At the end of the visit, the delegation members extended their gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality, expressing their eagerness for fruitful and sustainable collaboration in the near future. This visit supports the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
