The College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences Organizes an Awareness Exhibition Featuring Informative Posters on Physical Fitness
The Dean of the College, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, took part in the opening of the awareness exhibition showcasing informative posters on the subject of Physical Fitness. The event featured the participation of first-year female students under the supervision of the course instructors: Dr. Wissan Saeed, Dr. Layla Abdulameer, Assistant Lecturer Shaimaa Habeeb, and Assistant Lecturer Marwa Hussein.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Administrative Assistant Dean, Dr. Thamer Hammad Rajih; the Head of the Individual Games Department, Dr. Mohammed Hassan Hleel; and the Head of the Theoretical Sciences Department, Dr. Faleh Hashem Finjan.
The exhibition displayed a variety of posters prepared by the students, covering diverse topics such as the importance of physical fitness for mental and physical health, suitable exercise methods for different age groups, balanced nutrition, and the role of physical activity in preventing chronic diseases.
The exhibition received notable interaction from students and visitors, who had the opportunity to explore fitness concepts in a simplified scientific manner that reflects the students’ level of awareness and knowledge. This activity is part of a series of events organized by the college to enhance student engagement and develop their scientific and awareness-raising skills.
