Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and Chair of the Committee of Deans of Colleges and Departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Iraq, delivered the official address on behalf of the Committee of Deans during the opening ceremony of the 20th International Conference of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul. The conference, held under the theme “Innovation and Technology in Sports: New Horizons for Enhancing Performance and Learning,” took place on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the University of Mosul.
In his speech, the Committee Chair praised the outstanding organization, warm reception, and generous hospitality of the people of Mosul, wishing all participants success in their active contributions to the conference in support of sports sciences and their role in the field of physical education.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Dean of the College presented the College Shield to Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat, Head of the Parliamentary Committee for Higher Education, and also to Dr. Haider Abdul-Dhahad, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Affairs.
This participation reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen academic collaboration and support innovation in sports sciences, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in quality education, innovation, and partnerships for development.
