The closing session of the Fourth International Scientific Conference on Sports Sciences and Technology for Sustainable Development was chaired by Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Baghdad, and Chair of the Conference.
The conference officially concluded on Saturday, April 12, 2025, after three days of academic engagement and scientific exchange. Organized by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Baghdad, the event witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of researchers, academics, and experts from Iraq and abroad.
Throughout the conference, participants presented research papers and scientific interventions addressing the latest developments in sports sciences and sports technology, and their role in achieving the goals of sustainable development. The sessions also tackled challenges facing the sports sector and explored ways to enhance academic and practical performance in the field.
The closing session emphasized the importance of utilizing research outcomes and strengthening international cooperation to advance the sports sector in ways that support community development. The final recommendations of the conference were also presented.
In his closing speech, the Dean of the College expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all faculty members, staff, and students who contributed to the success of the conference, commending their teamwork and collective spirit, which reflected a unified effort to elevate the college’s reputation.
Committee heads and supervisors were honored with commemorative shields, and participation certificates were distributed to all active members of the organizing committees.
Participants expressed their sincere thanks to the organizing body for its warm hospitality and excellent coordination, stressing the importance of continuing to hold such conferences that reinforce the role of scientific research in advancing the field.
