Fostering Academic–Sports Collaboration for Sustainable Development: Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences Extends Official Invitation to the President of the Iraqi Football Association
In an effort to strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and sports organizations, Professor Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Baghdad, visited the headquarters of the Iraqi Football Association. During the visit, he met with Captain Adnan Dirjal, President of the Iraqi Football Association, to extend an official invitation to attend the Fourth International Scientific Conference on Sports Sciences and Technology for Sustainable Development.
The conference is scheduled to take place at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, University of Baghdad, from April 10 to 12, 2025. It aims to explore the role of sports sciences and technology in advancing sustainable development, with participation from international, regional, and local experts across various scientific disciplines.
Accompanying the Dean were Professor Dr. Luay Sami Rafaat, Secretary of the College Council, and Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Najib Asliwa, Head of the Conference Media Committee.
The conference aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals by fostering innovation in sports sciences, enhancing educational quality, promoting health and well-being, and strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and governmental bodies.
