As part of the ongoing preparations for the Fourth International Scientific Conference on Sports Sciences and Technology for Sustainable Development, the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, received the Executive Director of Al-Rabaa Sports Channels, Mr. Taha Abu Ragheef. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Wissam Najeeb Asliwah, Head of the Media Committee for the conference.
During the meeting, the Executive Director expressed the channel’s readiness to provide live coverage of the conference events. Additionally, both parties discussed enhancing cooperation between the academic sector and media institutions. This included plans to form a specialized media team to cover all conference activities, promote the event ahead of its launch, and initiate media campaigns. They also discussed the importance of active media presence to ensure the conference’s success in achieving its scientific and academic objectives.
This collaboration, the first of its kind, aims to comprehensively cover this significant scientific event, hosted by the University of Baghdad – College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, with participation at the global, Arab, and local levels.
At the end of the visit, a commemorative shield representing the college was presented to the Executive Director of Al-Rabaa Sports Channels in recognition of his fruitful cooperation with the college’s administration in supporting its scientific and athletic activities. This collaboration reflects the Sustainable Development Goals related to SDG 4 on Quality Education, SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals, and SDG 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
