The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit and the Student Activities Unit, organized a central ceremony on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, along with the college’s assistant deans, heads of scientific departments, administrative directors, and a large number of female staff members and students.
The ceremony began with a speech by the Dean, who praised women and their role in society in general, highlighting the contributions of working women in particular and their significant role in serving the country. He commended the efforts of academic women and their contributions to the educational process.
The event concluded with the honoring of a group of female staff members in recognition of their outstanding efforts in serving the college. On the sidelines of the event, an exhibition of various student projects was also inaugurated.
