The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, received the university’s tennis team, who secured first place in the Iraqi Universities Championship. The team was accompanied by the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf. The University President commended the faculty members and students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for their outstanding achievement and active participation in the championship, which led to their remarkable success.
For their part, the team’s coaches and players expressed their gratitude to the university administration for its continuous support and for overcoming the challenges they faced during the tournament. At the end of the meeting, the University President presented medals and shields to the coaches and players, in the presence of the Head of the Individual Sports Branch, Dr. Mohammed Hassan Helail, and the Director of the Student Activities Department at the University Presidency, Dr. Ali Sadiq Thiyab.
This achievement aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) by supporting student activities, and Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting university sports and encouraging students to engage in physical activities.
