Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the supervision of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, the Student Activities Department of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority held the technical conference for the finals of the Iraqi Universities Volleyball Championship.
The conference took place in the grand hall of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, with the attendance of Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College, Prof. Hussein Subhan Sukhi, Dean of the College of Education at Al-Farahidi University, and Dr. Ali Sadiq Dhiyab, Director of the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad.
The championship will be hosted at the University of Baghdad’s College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for male students, while female students’ matches will take place at Al-Farahidi University. A total of 17 public and private universities are participating in the event.
At the end of the conference, commemorative shields were presented to the host universities.
This event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by encouraging physical activity and student engagement in sports, as well as SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting extracurricular activities that enhance students’ overall development.
