The Deanship of the College opens the ceremony of handing over the flag
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad held an opening ceremony that was attended the Dean of the College, Dr. Sabah Qasim, the Assistant Dean for Scientific assistant, Dr. Mohammed Abdulhussein, the Assistant Dean for Administrative assistant, Dr. Ali Sadeq, the heads of the scientific departments, members of the College Council, and a group of faculty members.The ceremony signified the transfer of the flag to the fourth-stage third-year students, signifying the beginning of their leadership role in the college.
A reading from the Holy Quran opened the event, which was then followed by a speech by the Dean in honor of the occasion. The festival officially kicked off once the flag was presented to the third-year students. Following this, there were a number of demonstration events where the college’s top athletes could display their skills
The University of Baghdad wants to increase interest in sporting events among students as well as in the neighborhood. The college wants to make sure that extracurriculars play a big part in helping students grow. The college seeks to foster an environment where students can engage in sports and other activities that will help them develop their physical and mental capabilities by holding such events
