Under the patronage of the Dean, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, the final match of the college futsal championship, named in honor of the Martyrs of Gaza and Lebanon, was held. The match brought together the second-stage and third-stage teams at Dr. Kamal Aref’s field.
The event was attended by members of the College Council, faculty members, and a large audience of students. The match was marked by excitement and competitiveness between both teams, who showcased exceptional players. The game ended in a 2-2 draw before the second-stage team secured the championship title through penalty shootouts.
Dr. Ahmed Dhari Hani, the tournament supervisor, emphasized the importance of such championships in selecting players to represent the university teams in future competitions.
This event aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting physical activity and teamwork, and Goal 4 (Quality Education) by fostering extracurricular engagement among students.
