On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, University of Baghdad, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, chaired the fifth session of the College Council. The meeting was attended by the assistant deans for scientific and administrative affairs, heads of scientific departments, the college council secretary, the head of the postgraduate studies division, and the student affairs officer.
The meeting began with a discussion of the points raised in the recent University Council meeting. The Dean conveyed the greetings and gratitude of the University President to the members of the College Council, faculty, and staff for their outstanding efforts in organizing the central graduation ceremony for the 67th cohort of University of Baghdad students, titled the “Cohort of Knowledge and Construction.”
The session proceeded with discussions on several topics, including monitoring the progress of the research plans of faculty members and their completion rates, reviewing the study leave plan, and emphasizing student attendance and adherence to the official timetable. Additionally, the council reviewed the onboarding process for first-year students and their commitment to attending classes according to the weekly schedule.
