On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the sports fields of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad hosted the central graduation ceremony for its 67th class (Batch of Knowledge and Construction). The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, along with a large number of professors, officials, and families of the graduating students.

The celebration began with the playing of the Iraqi national anthem and a reading of Al-Fatihah in memory of Iraq’s martyrs. The ceremony started with a military parade featuring the Iraqi flag bearers and the musical band.

The graduating students, led by the top-ranking students, processed into the venue, followed by students from the various University of Baghdad colleges, faculty members, and then members of the University Council, headed by the President of University of Baghdad. Graduates expressed their happiness after the years spent at this prestigious university and the knowledge they gained during their academic journey.

The ceremony included speeches from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf. The event concluded with the recitation of the university oath and the honoring of outstanding students in an atmosphere filled with joy and pride. Students and their families expressed their pride and joy in this moment, marking the start of a new chapter in their professional lives.

The University President praised the efforts of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, which hosted this academic event, acknowledging its vital role in organizing and preparing for this grand celebration. It was noted that the ceremony was organized in a manner befitting the university’s distinguished reputation.
