The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences held a workshop titled “Early Detection of Breast Cancer: Its Importance and Methods.” The workshop, organized by the Women’s Affairs Unit headed by Dr. Fatima Hamid Kazar, took place on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in the Discussion Hall, with college staff and students in attendance.

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of early screening, screening methods, the function of mammograms, their types, and the World Health Organization’s classifications for cancer risk levels. The event included discussions and feedback from attendees, emphasizing the need for regular screenings at healthcare centers or through self-examinations at home. It also underscored the importance of starting screenings at age 30 or older in cases of genetic mutations, along with increasing awareness and providing guidance to women through workshops and seminars to prevent breast cancer.
